Mission
The mission of the Forensic Science Program at NJIT is to educate and inspire a new generation of forensic scientists who possess a deep understanding of scientific principles, ethical practices, and advanced technologies to contribute significantly to the field of forensic science. Our program is committed to fostering an environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and experiential learning, enabling our students to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this diverse and ever-evolving field.
B.S. in Forensic Science
The Forensic Science program, the first of its kind in New Jersey, provides a foundation in the natural sciences and mathematics to prepare students for a career in forensic science or graduate or professional school. Students receive hands-on training in field methods, analytical skills, and laboratory procedures currently used by forensic scientists in crime and investigative laboratories.
