Forensic Science Internships
The Forensic Science Program at NJIT, requires students in the program to complete a Capstone requirement. One of the ways to satisfy the Capstone requirement is to complete an internship or co-op work experience during the summer, fall, or spring semesters. Internships provide professional experience and networking opportunities that may make it easier to launch your career after graduation. Internships can also be an opportunity to explore a different part of the United States or another country. Students need Senior standing or FRSC director approval. Work assignments are facilitated and approved by the co-op office at NJIT and the Forensic Science Program Director. Students need to register for FRSC 490, complete a minimum of 150 hours (students need to keep track of their hours in a logbook and have their supervisor sign off that they have met this requirement), complete a final report and give a 20-minute presentation at NJIT about their internship experience. Students should apply for internships in the semester BEFORE they wish to complete their internship. You must contact Professor David Fisher prior to registering for an internship (FRSC 490). All students must go through NJIT's Career Development Services when applying for a co-op or internship and follow these instructions.
